Aminata Belli is a TV presenter and reporter for NDR, MTV and FUNK. In 2020, together with her colleague Hadnet Tesfai, she started the highly acclaimed Instagram talk series “Seat Reservation” as a reaction to the Black Lives Matter movement and the way it is dealt with in the German media.

Author

Matthew A. Cherry is a former NFL player turned filmmaker. In 2007, he retired from sports and moved to L.A. to pursue a career in entertainment. Today he directs music videos and short films, including the Oscar-winning animated film Hair Love, on which this book is based. With this work he wants to combat prejudices and show a strong black family image in which fathers are present.


Illustrator


Vashti Harrison is an author, illustrator, and filmmaker based in Brooklyn. She is passionate about creating stories, both for the film and children's worlds. Her artwork is rooted in Caribbean folklore.
